Gentle steps, snowshoe pleasure
Glittering snow crystals, frozen springs, firs covered with snow – put on your snowshoes and explore effervescent high forests and endless white fields. Nothing to say against the charm of ski slopes, but the fairy tale scenery of Val Pusteria is extraordinary and unique! Tip for hiking: a walking-tour dedicated to the moon, to the stars or with torches, through long, dark winter nights, when the small village and the adjacent mountain summits are fast asleep.

Strenuous but fun
Climb up to one of the many white summits just using you muscular strength. Far away from chairlifts and gondolas, passing old farms, through mystical and quiet mountains. How to you fancy the “Croda rossa” on 2800 meters in Anterselva or the “Cima dieci” in the natural park of Fannes – Sennes – Braies over 3000 meters? Look back and all what you will see is your own footsteps in the soft powder snow! Did you sweat a lot? Your body is in need of spoiling – kneippism, cures, massages – and you will feel like born again.

Pleasure of horse riding
Jump on the back of a horse and enjoy your winter holiday differently! Whirling powder snow, galloping horse shoes, cosy sledge rides, ringing bells – watch out for twinkling angels! Nearly all places in the surroundings of Plan de Corones offer horse- or sledge rides. We happily help you to find the right stable for you.
Red cheeks, joy of tobogganing
There is no winter holiday without skid down the mountain on a wild toboggan-run! Getting up the mountain usually is hard work, but the downhill run will make up for it. Besides that the many alpine pastures or mountain inns will wait for you with mouth watering local snacks and dishes. A special advice for all toboggan-freaks: don’t miss the full moon nights!
Toboggan-run “Brunstalm”
For all who can take it, explore the 7 km long toboggan-run in Valdaora di Sopra. Let yourself surprise by the magnificient high plateau below the mountains of Valdaora – no pains, no gains!
