Christmas fair in Bressanone and Brunico
The Christmas fairs are very traditional on South Tyrol. The special atmosphere on Christmas fairs makes them more and more popular to South Tyrolean guests. What do these fairs offer? Lot’s for your senses, especially your sense of smell and taste: hot mulled wine, arts and craft, homemade cookies or all kind of beautiful Christmas decorations. From the 25. november 2011 to the 06. January 2012 the townscape of Brunico and Bressanone is characterized by the Christmas fair. Over 35 stands offer precious arts and craft, divine ideas for presents and festive treasures.

• New Years celebrations in Bressanone  – the party begins at 18.00 o’clock, bands are playing, corks popping.
• New Years in the mountains of Valdaora
• “Marathon of dumplings”  with or without the cross-country skis, everybody enjoy and join in at the “dumpling quiz”.
• International valley run .

"Lòcknfescht" - full tilt into the floods – the cult event at the station of Plan de Corones. Watch all kind of bizarre vehicles plunging courageously into the water. From the space ship to the toilet seat, from the Harley imitation to the giant cooking pan, inclusive passengers of course. For food and drinks is cared for.

The market of “Stegen” – the biggest market of Tyrol (every year at the end of October)
On the market of “Stegen” you will meet lots of curious people: the man roasting chestnuts, the women selling the latest clothes fashion, the seller of the leather jackets, the beggar with its soft toy monkey, the man behind the cheese counter, the stands with hot mulled wine and tasty sausages, the few livestock dealers and the flashing lights of the “Luna Park”. The market of “Stegen” every year is a big hustle and bustle and an exciting journey for your senses.

Jazz is in the air (every year on the second week-end in July)
The Jazz Festival in Brunico developped itself from an evening event to the absolute highlight of the summer. Every year various international and national jazz bands are performing and trying their best. The people in the audience are very enthusiastic about it!

Summer concerts of Brunico in the renaissance courtyard (every year in July and in August)
The summer concerts of Brunico take place in the magnificient renaissance courtyard. This unforgettable ambiance inspires the famous artists as well as the visitors, listening to the delicate and charming sounds. On Tuesdays and Thursdays classical concerts with local and international artists are offered. The programme covers organ concerts and string quartets, brass bands and piano concerts with chants.
